Meet Vicky
I am a fully qualified veterinary surgeon practising integrated veterinary medicine by combining my knowledge of conventional medicine, with that of various complementary approaches. These include herbal medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture and species-appropriate feeding.
Having graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2012, I spent my first 7 years in two small animal integrated veterinary practices, where conventional medicine, surgery and diagnostics were used alongside herbal medicine, homeopathy, natural feeding and acupuncture. Holistic medical approaches have always appealed to me, so I was lucky to be able to pursue these immediately. Throughout my time at these practices, I treated the horses of friends and work colleagues with herbs and homeopathy, allowing my love of horses to be pursued as well as that of holistic medicine.
I completed a two year veterinary herbal medicine course in 2015, attended a veterinary acupuncture course in 2014, and qualified as a veterinary homeopath in 2019 after a four year course. These courses, along with home study, experience at work and ongoing CPD (Continued Professional Development) have allowed my knowledge of holistic medicine to be continuously growing.
I established Holistic Vet Vicky in 2020. I take referrals for holistic veterinary medicine, and offer general holistic health advice. I always aim to work closely with referring veterinary practices to optimise the health and well-being of my patients. I mostly treat dogs and cats, but I also see horses, rabbits and guinea pigs and other small furries, as well as the occasional chicken.
